Hey, there are new Samhain books up at Fictionwise. Doesn’t actually affect me, because my books were already up in the spring. But I like seeing new Samhain books in other places. And I think there’s a sale of sorts at Fictionwise?
One of the nicest things about having books up on Amazon is when you get reader feedback. It’s unsolicited, it’s not a review (though I love reviews too, I hasten to add), and you know someone read your book (and if you’re particularly lucky someone liked it).
I watched the first season of Torchwood a while back. (Yes, this is random-post.) One of the eps had Antony & The Johnsons singing “Hope There’s Someone” which I adored and listen to over and over again. Nobody else in my family can stand this song. But I like the quality of his voice and it’s definitely an angst-song, something I have a weakness for.
I should probably stop looking at gossip mags because half of the kids gracing the covers these days are people I don’t recognize. My daughter has laughed at me for asking about Ciley Myrus. Anyone remember Tiger Beat? Or maybe it’s even still around. To give you an idea, I grew up when Kristi and Jimmy McNicol were big. As well as Sean Cassidy. Whatever happened to Sean, or is that Shawn, Cassidy anyway? Maybe it’s best not to know. Some of the teen stars don’t seem to have had the happiest endings.
On a brighter note, and continuing to be random, I got my hair cut today. We’ll try for a coherent post next time. Specially since I need to write something for the Samhain blog soon.

:) I like this random post. You can write as many random posts as you want.
Hm, I’ve never seen Torchwood, I rarely look at gossip mags and kinda wish they don’t exist, I love getting my hair cut even though it’s always a simple straight cut, and I think “Hope There’s Someone” is good music. The singer’s voice has a unique timbre and the lyrics are angsty in a way I like (I don’t like all kinds of angst). I think I’ll listen to it once in a while but I probably can’t listen to it over and over again.
I love Torchwood, and not just because I love Captain Jack Harkness, though he’s a definite draw. I also love the new Doctor Who. I need to get seasons two and four, respectively.
Sometimes, I get hold of a song, and play it again and again. I’m not exactly sure why.
